Ted O’Gorman (he/him) met Michael Paul Smith during their first year of high school. They’ve been writing and performing together ever since. After graduating college Ted went to work for the startup comedy website Black20.com as a writer and producer. During this time he co-founded Basement View Improv. This improv/sketch comedy group has performed at venues throughout the northeast, most notably at Caroline’s on Broadway. Ted was also a member of The Dan Ryan sketch comedy group. The Dan Ryan were invited to perform monthly at The People’s Improv Theatre, where they came in second in the annual SketchProv competition. Mike and Ted joined up again to create Ted and Michael Read sketches into Microphones. Gillian Pensavalle (she/her) is a professional podcaster and all around creator. Gillian is the co-host/creator of the top-ranked true crime comedy podcast True Crime Obsessed, where she and Patrick Hinds recap true crime documentaries with humor and heart. With over 100 million downloads, their coverage of documentaries such as Night Stalker, The Jinx, Fyre Fraud, and Class Action Park has captured the attention of true crime fans everywhere. She launched The Hamilcast: A Hamilton Podcast in January of 2016 and releases weekly episodes hosting Hamilton cast, crew, creatives, musicians, and those in the Lin-Manuel Miranda/Hamilton universe including all four members of the creative team, known as The Cabinet™ (Lin has been on twice!). Gillian is the creator, host, editor, and executive producer of this passion project, and loves every second of it. Teaming up with her husband Michael Paul Smith, Gillian is the co-creator, producer, and star of The Residuals, a successful comedy series based on the couple's real-life auditioning for commercials in New York City. She is also the executive producer of Ted and Michael Read Sketches into Microphones, Mike’s sketch comedy podcast. In December of 2020, Gillian was the executive producer of 'Twas the Night, free radio play created to raise money for The Actors Fund and help bring holiday cheer in the midst of a pandemic. In her many years in the entertainment industry Gillian has experience as an actor, voiceover artist, editor, show runner, producer, and on-camera host. A born and raised New Yorker, Gillian lives uptown with her husband Mike and their rescue pup Fiona. Michael Paul Smith (He/him) is an actor, writer, director and producer. He loves Mischief Media, is ecstatic to be working with them, and he hopes that you find this bio impressive. Michael can be seen in the Emmy Award winning shows SUCCESSION (HBO) and THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL (AMAZON). He graduated from Marymount Manhattan College, and has performed with MCC Theatre, Irish Repertory Theatre, Long Island Theatre Collective, and the New School for Drama. Hel is also a writer/director on the podcast Ted and Michael Read Sketches Into Microphones, and the original holiday audio play “‘Twas The Night”, He’s a People's Improv Theatre (PIT) trained improv artist, and he co-founded Basement View Improv, which has taught and performed all over the northeast, including Caroline's on Broadway and Gotham Comedy Club. And he can be heard on his wife Gillian Pensavalle’s podcast The Hamilcast from time to time. He’s great at making breakfast for humans, and dinner for dogs .
